What Is NMN?

NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) is known as a compound positioned within the biochemical pathway that leads to the production of NAD⁺ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) in the body, and it has been the subject of ongoing research in fundamental life science fields such as energy metabolism.

Both in Japan and internationally, academic knowledge regarding NMN and NAD⁺ is steadily accumulating, and attention is increasingly being paid to their relationship with aging and their roles within biological systems.

At TA Medical, in light of these research trends, we focus not only on the strict quality control and stable supply of high-purity NMN raw materials, but also on the provision of accurate, scientifically grounded information based on a sound scientific perspective.

NAD⁺ is widely recognized as a fundamental coenzyme essential to vital biological functions, including energy metabolism, DNA repair, and the maintenance of cellular homeostasis.

To better understand its physiological characteristics and age-related changes, knowledge has been accumulated from diverse perspectives regarding NAD⁺ level dynamics and related regulatory factors.

This figure summarizes selected findings from NAD⁺ research to provide an overview of current research trends.
